Kingdom USA's Sterling models are 1st Security top line of defense against burglary and fire. The Sterling models have earned the U.L. TL-30 label and have live bolts locking the door in place on the swing side plus the top and bottom of the door. Fire resistance is assured by the composite design of the safe's walls and attested to by the manufacturers two hour fire test label.

The back panel of the door is equipped with an additional fire barrier which is nicely covered with velour fabric. Kingdom USA's Sterling models are equipped with two combination locks. One combination lock has a key locking dial so that the safe may be locked by key only for use during normal business hours and then double locked by the dual combination locks overnight. These combinations can be set on different numbers which could require two persons present to open the safe.
